Just remember that you should strive to save them, as eventually you'll be able to clear the board before 229 without any, but it's okay as a crutch to get a new PB.If you would like to schedule an AMA on /r/pcgaming please send us a message via modmail. If you get the 2nd upgrade before the first 3 spiders, you can scrape the centi that comes up right afterwards then use homing daggers to clear the board a bit before the second 3 spiders come, just make sure to grab all the gems that are floating around before the spiders come. LMK if you need more help or want to add me on steam so I can watch your replay. You should be getting the 2nd upgrade just before the first 3 spiders without farming, but I do recommend getting good at farming just a little, so that once you clear the board and then scrape the centi, you should have the 2nd upgrade, or be a few gems away. ![]() If you can kill those last 3 spiders, you have till 229 to clear the board and finish the centipede. The idea is to get it clear enough that when the second 3 spiders spawn, you aren't being overwhelmed by skull3. Then, try to get a good scrape on the centi, then focus on taking out the squid2 and skull3. After awhile, you'll be able to clear each wave of squid 1 and 2 before the next arrives, and have a clear board for the first 3 spiders. Then clear up any remaining skulls in the time you have before the next set of squids. After killing the centipede, I take a gem off a squid 2 and clear out the skull 3 and ideally all the skulls, then turn and take out the squid 1 and its spawn, then turn around for the second gem of the squid 2. I think the best way to get past the 2 rounds of 3 spiders is being really good at clearing everything on the board before they show up. With farming you feel like you're not making any progress but if you keep grinding it out and practicing, eventually when you don't farm it will feel a lot easier. It's nice to farm a little bit, to get the 2nd upgrade before the first 3 spiders spawn. You can increase your farm size or increase the time waited until you clear (I now leave 3 squid I's up, sometimes all of them, then start clearing around 80 secs). I think I started learning by killing the first two squid I's then letting the other two stay, killing all the squid II's as soon as they spawn, and focusing on clearing the board at around 60-70 secs. I would say, its never too early to start practicing farming, just keep on practicing it, in small amounts. My PB is around 390 or so and I struggled with that wall for awhile before I started breaking through (but now I'm trying to get better at gigas). ![]()
